The Site is centrally located on the San Francisco Peninsula in San Mateo County, 5 miles south of San Francisco, and adjacent to Brisbane, CA. The San Francisco Peninsula is an infill type environment where land for large industrial development is extremely rare. The Site has been in operation as a limestone quarry for over 100 years and current topography varies widely due to quarry operations. With the support of the County of San Mateo, the quarry is expected to continue in operation for the foreseeable future, with the potential to generate significant revenue from quarry and associated building materials production and recycling until final development of the Site into industrial park use occurs.
