Opened in 1928 as the State Theater, this theater has a full stage and fly tower and is one of only three known surviving theaters decorated by Arthur Brounet who frequently worked with Thomas Lamb. Ornate plasterwork fills the theater. Operated until 1986 when it became a warehouse for an antiques dealer, preliminary restoration work began in 2007. It is basically in original condition except for removal of the seats and repainting. Theater currently not operating, it will be gorgeous once restored.
Building is approximately 18,000 sqft with two lobbies, seating area, restrooms with lounges, 30 foot deep stage with dressing rooms underneath and a boiler room in sub-basement. Building includes two separate storefronts which can be rented out. Office space for the theater is on the second floor.
