Bio of Connie Y. Rankin, LEED AP
President, ITRA Global | Customized Real Estate Services

In 1981 Connie joined PM Realty Group, the largest third-party commercial real estate firm in the nation. Connie was the first woman to be promoted to Executive Senior Manager during her 20-year tenure with the company. Her comprehensive knowledge of property management, leasing, and construction management, comprising a portfolio with over a million square feet under contract gives her an astute ability to recognize value in well-managed buildings.

Connie left PM Realty Group to start ITRA Global | Customized Real Estate Services, Inc. (CRES) in 2001, and ten years later developed LEAD2GREEN to specialize in green real estate services. In 2008 Connie was the first CEO of a certified woman-owned commercial real estate company in the nation to earn the LEED Professional Accreditation designation. This designation, awarded by the US Green Building Council, is to distinguish building professionals who have the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED Certification process. The LEED AP has a thorough understanding of the practices and principles involved in the LEED Green Building Rating System.

In 2006 Connie was the recipient of the prestigious Business Star award, for which only 14 of 3,000 women business owners are selected. In 2007 CRES was recognized as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Woman-Owned Businesses in Houston, in addition to being named a Top Corporate Supplier and one of 100 WBE s Impacting Supplier Diversity. In 2008 Connie was named WBE Advocate of the Year. The following year, the company was again recognized as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Woman-Owned Businesses in Houston, and in 2011 Connie was named WBE Volunteer of the Year.

ITRA Global | Customized Real Estate Services works with clients in the oil and gas industry, non-profits, small and large companies, and with local government. Over the past 10 years, this has allowed CRES to accomplish their mission of providing a broad spectrum of diverse experience in commercial real estate, adding value and a positive impact on the environment. CRES s first priority with a client is to determine to what extent going green will benefit them and meet their needs.

Connie is active in various professional and non-profit organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management, the Women s Business Enterprise Alliance, the Women s Enterprise National Council, the Houston Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Texas Executive Women, a non-profit organization.
