Description

The Territorial Town in is western boutique inn located in historic downtown Camp Verde. The property was extensively renovated in 2004. This is a limited service hotel with 16 rooms, one being used as a lobby, the other used by on-property front desk help. The lobby is connected to a kitchen area that could be upgraded if an owner would like to offer breakfast. Every room has wood blinds, a ceiling fan, either two queen beds or one king bed, western-fabric pillow covers , western fabric shower curtain on a curved shower rod, lodge pole furniture, and western décor. The front of the inn has a veranda so guests can relax and savor the cliffs in the distance. The hotel could have a second story added or another building could be built to house the lobby and owner quarters, freeing up all rooms for revenue production. The brand you' ll remember is the motto of the Territorial Town Inn. Although this is an independent hotel, the western décor is highlighted by the accent of western cattle brands actually seared into the wood posts. The website also reinforces the branding.'

Territorial Town Inn is located within walking distance of Fort Verde State Park, the best preserved example of an Indian Wars period fort in Arizona. The community, oldest in the Verde Valley, was established in 1865 to protect settlers from Indian raids. Camp Verde is located about 15 minutes form Cottonwood, about 40 minutes from the old mining community of Jerome, 45 minutes from Sedona and Prescott, and is roughly half-way between Phoenix and Flagstaff on Interstate 17. The town is also the site of Cliff Castle Casino, operated by the Yavapai-Apache Nation Indian tribe. This is one of the most popular casinos in the state, and makes Camp Verde an important gambling destination. The Verde River Valley, the Mogollon Rim and Prescott National Forest offer popular outdoor activities. Montezuma' s Castle National Monument which contains some of the nation' s best preserved cliff dwellings and is the seventh most visited natural attraction in the state is just north of town. Tuzigoot National Monument is also nearby and open for viewing of ancient villages of the prehistoric Sinagua Indians.
