Roseburg is the county seat of Douglas County and has a population of about 21,000. It is 67 miles south of Eugene (the home of the University of Oregon) and 125 mile north of the California/Oregon state line. It is about 80 miles from the Pacific Coast. The Diamond Lake Recreation Area, at the summit of the Cascade Mountain Range, is 79 miles east of the city. Also, Crater lake National Park is about 110 miles east of Roseburg. There are several other interesting places to visit just a short drive away, such as Wildlife Safari Animal Park and Seven Feathers Casino.
The weather is mild with average winter lows of about 35 degrees and average winter highs of about 49. Summer averages are 53 for lows and 84 for highs. Annual average precipitation is about 37 inches.
The motel is advantageously located at exit #126 of the Interstate 5 freeeway. Turning east from the freeway at that exit, the property is the first one on the right.
