Description

Located in West Union, Iowa on Highway 150 South, the 188,800 square foot Atwood Mobile facility consists of 177,600 square feet manufacturing space, 6,600 square feet warehouse, 2,400 square feet office and 2,200 square feet mezzanine. The building sits on approximately 29.07 acres of land.

Built in several phases, the original building was constructed in 1977, with additions in 1984 and 1994. It is constructed with 5 concrete walls and 3 ½ inch insulated metal. The floor is 10 thick concrete in the high bay area and 6 thick concrete in the manufacturing area. Columns are 8 x8 I beam at ½ thickness and space at 40' x40' . The roof is white rubber membrane. Clear heights in the building range from 17' -25' in the manufacturing area to 20' in the warehouse, with 8' ceilings in the office and mezzanine.

Lighting is provide by 240V HID fixtures. Power is supplied by Alliant Energy with 13,800 V 3 phase service distributed by busway and control panel. There are 6 transformers on site each owned by Alliant Energy.

Heat is provided by gas forced air. Natural gas service is provided by Black Hills Energy. The building is sprinkled by a wet system with 60-65 psi.
