This neighborhood grocery-anchored center, anchored by Foodland, will be one of two full-service market centers in Kapolei. The center is planned to have 22,430 sf of shop space, averaging from 900 to 1,600 sf, and 204 parking stalls. Desired uses for the center include financial services, fast food and sit-down restaurants, quick serve, apparel and gifts, personal care, electronics and medical.
Kapolei Village Center is located at the intersection of Kapolei Parkway and Wakea Street with easy access to and from the new H-1 freeway on and off ramps. The site is adjacent to Kapolei's only planned transit center which will serve as a hub for all bus routes and is planned to be a rail stop for Honolulu Rapid Transit's new rail system. The center is also adjacent to the City Center which is planned to house 9 city blocks of high-rise development. Kapolei is the fastest growing area in Honolulu and has an under-served retail market. It has a great base of jobs with substantial growth projected. Government is encouraging growth of Kapolei as the second city.
