In 2018, Santa Rosa County experienced significant growth and was recognized as the 8th fastest-growing county in Florida, with the 4th highest median household income. At that time it was projected that there will be a growth of 1.9% per year through 2025. To keep up with the increase in county population, a study conducted by the Home Builders Association of West Florida suggests that 1,500 homes will need to be built per year for the next 8 years.
