The historic Elks Building is located at 100 through 110 East Baltimore Street, Jackson, Tennessee, 38301, on the corner of East Baltimore and North Highland Avenue. The Building faces the Madison County Courthouse, is one block from the City Hall of Jackson and is directly across North Highland Avenue, (US Highway 45), from the United States District Court Building and the GSA owned Ed Jones Federal Building. The latter two facilities house the United States District Court, United States Bankruptcy Court, the Clerks for same, United States Probation, Internal Revenue Service, Social Security hearing rooms and United States Attorney’s office. The Building is a century old, received $3.25M in improvements in 2004 and was once the headquarters for the GM&O Railroad and the site of the Anderson Clayton Cotton Company. M.D. Anderson is buried less than ¼ mile from the Building and was the donor for the Cancer Center in Dallas, Texas, bearing his name.
