The Metrorail network has grown to cover 6 lines, 91 stations, and over 117 miles of track. Individual station footfall ranges from 10,000 to 60,000 riders per day, with an average rider income of over $100,000 per year. With high foot traffic, and customer aptitude to spend, Metro believes there is an opportunity to bring retail to each metro station, subsequently enhancing the customer experience and modernizing stations. These improvements will place Metro at the forefront of innovation and change, making it Washington DC’s transportation method of choice.
