One Stanford Centre was originally constructed in 1988 and opened in 1989 as one component of Panama City's first planned residential and commercial developement. The residential component, Stanford Pointe Apartments opened in 1987. In October of 2018, Panama City was devastated with damage caused by Hurricane Michael, a category 5 hurricane.
