ABOUT THE PROPERTY

Dr. W.H. Baugh from Shoshone owned the lot the Baugh Building sits on. In 1915, a newspaper article criticized Baugh for holding back progress in downtown Twin Falls. Only a small fruit orchard and fruit stand occupied the prime lot. The doctor got to work and finished the Baugh building in 1916. The building was first occupied by Skeels-Wiley Drug Store, which was affiliated with Walgreen’s. Later, Leonard Emerson ran the City Drug in the building for 30 years. It became Dunken’s Draught House in 1990.
