ABOUT 1050 SOUTH BLVD , DUTCH JOHN, UT 84023
The storefront has been here since the 60's when the Flaming Gorge Dam was being built. Many new owners have come along to call this place home, however, in 2012 the company was bought from a partnership out of Salt Lake City looking to improve and expand on the many opportunities. Since then they’ve added multiple cabins, planted over 1,500 trees, and improved the look and feel of the park. Extensive work continues today bringing about many more amenities for the local public and for those wanting to enjoy the recreational amenities of the Flaming Gorge Area. This property was purchased in August 2012. Prior owners had built a convenience store with gasoline, a 30 space RV park, 2 cabins, a small restaurant, an outfitter license on the Green River and an old two bay service/repair shop. All of this was on a 16-acre parcel of land leased from the county. In 2015 the current owner used an SBA loan and personal money to buy the 16 acres plus another 11 acres, build 25 cabins, a shower house/laundromat, a fly shop/sporting goods store of 3,500 feet, expand the kitchen, add a 120 seat restaurant (1,700 sq ft), expand the convenience store by 1,200 feet, add a commercial laundry to service the cabins, plant more than 1,500 trees with irrigation and construct a new LED sign next to the highway. A recreation area has been built with swings, basketball, volleyball, etc for guests.
