An enzyme production lab, a cold room, a tissue culture room with two bio-safety cabinets and a fume hood room allow for investigative work with specific support equipment. Additional equipment on the second floor is housed in the 4 °C cold room accommodating -30° C lab research freezers. Two larger offices along with an employee break room complete the space on the second floor. There is an ADA code compliant elevator in order to accommodate accessibility for the second floor. Floor-to-ceiling clear height is 8’-6” in the laboratories and 8’-0” in the offices on the second floor. The clear height above the ceiling is 1’-0” to the underside of the structure to accommodate infrastructure support system distribution. Doors are a minimum of 36” wide and 84” high throughout the second floor. The primary level of security and access control consists of an entrance gate into the site, at the building door entries and secondary controls/locks into the labs and support room areas. Security systems consist of door hardware and motions sensors.
