John Nolan started his career in retail development, leasing and brokerage in 2002 with D.J. Christie, Inc., a regional development firm with strong relationships to top retailers. John was intimately involved with all phases of the development process; site selection, public financing, construction, leasing, management and disposition. He oversaw four Town Center projects and multiple small projects during his eight years with D.J. Christie, Inc. Through this, he gained a thorough understanding of retail development and ownership and learned the formula to make it a profitable venture. Hard work and reaching the team’s goals have always been his forte.

In 2010 John became a partner at DLM Commercial where he focused heavily on tenant representation throughout the recession and had some of his best years; successfully representing national, regional and local retailers and restaurants. John then started the retail division at Lee & Associates, Kansas City, where he was a partner of the firm and oversaw the recruitment of new brokers and the growth of the retail division. He also assisted in over $30 million of industrial development. In addition to new development, John brokered over $125 million in acquisitions. In 2017, John partnered with Andy Crimmins to grow Crossroads Real Estate Group.

A life-long resident of the Kansas City area, John is married to Sarah Nolan and has three children. He is a graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School and was a multi-year letter-winner in football at the University of Buffalo.
