This Days Inn is located directly off I-70 with excellent visibility in Russell, KS. Russell is a community of 4500 and is a major stopping point from traffic between Kansas City and Denver. This very well-maintained Days Inn is an ideal opportunity for an owner-operator with its 47 units. Many improvements have been made to the hotel, including newer LED flat screen TV's, beds, top of bedding and guestroom light package (just installed!). Also, newer textured walls, bathroom tiled floors, plus an updated breakfast area and lobby, are appreciated by guests. Russell is one of the leading oil producing counties in Kansas, which brings a good amount of work crews to the area. Other major employers are in the agribusiness (White Energy ethanol plant) and medical fields (Russell Regional Hospital). Fort Hays State University, 25 miles away, is a four-year university with an enrollment of more than 13,000 students. The area is very popular with hunters in the late fall and winter. As one would expect, I-70 provides a good amount of walk-in traffic to the hotel, including regular semi and truck route salespeople. The Days Inn can also be purchased with the 100% renovated - and newly re-branded - Quality Inn in Russell (44 keys), which is located within walking distance of the Days Inn. Both hotels could easily be operated by the same owner. The Quality Inn is also the only mid-scale and up Choice Hotel on I-70 between Junction City, KS, and Hays, KS (113 miles).
