With over 100 years of history and culture, overhaul is underway at the Mercantile Building. The facade will be restored to feature designs that highlight the building's previous look in its heyday. Completion of facade is planned in November.
The 1st floor consists of brick walls, wooden ceiling, pressed tin ceiling, and 400 amp 3 phase power. The mezzanine overlooks the first floor containing a wooden ceiling as well.
The 2nd floor consists of: wooden ceiling, wooden floors, brick walls, skylight, 4 windows facing 2nd street and 3 windows facing the back alley.
A mechanical shaft/pulley system is located in the back, northeast, corner of the building that serves all floor levels.
Located at 13 S 2nd Street in Temple, you will find the area caters to fine dining, government workers, multiple banks, financial advisors, lending institutions, blue and white collar businesses, bars and pubs, and soon-to-be conglomerate of retail right next door.
