THE HISTORIC ANNISTON INN WEDDING VENUE AND EVENT CENTER The historic Anniston Inn was built in 1885 by Anniston founding fathers Samuel Noble and Alfred Tyler. The Anniston Inn was destroyed by fire on January 2nd 1923, all that survived was the four story 9,000+/- SQ F kitchen, workers quarters and dining hall. Local residents James and Patsy Cotton painstakingly restored it to its original grandeur. The inn was placed on the Nation Register of Historic Places in 1973. The Inns Queen Anne styled Grand Dining Hall seats more than 70 people. The Inns elegance and grandeur make it, a perfect wedding venue, and event center. The inn has hosted wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, bridal teas, as an event center it has been a favored location for proms, graduation parties, business conferences, company parties and Christmas events. Then Inn has also been the choice location for small concerts and musical events. The inns large manicured grounds and gardens make the Inn an ideal location for outdoor events. The ground level foyer enters into a large 40*15 gathering area adjoining the ornately decorated 40*20 Queen Ann influenced grand dining hall. The dining hall features transom windows, ornate moldings and heavily beamed 17 foot ceilings. Two half baths, a smaller a meeting room, and service kitchen are also located on the entry level The second floor is divided into separate rooms to be used as dressing rooms as well as event, training, and meeting areas. It also features a small kitchen and full bath. The third floor serves as the current owner’s residence and includes an oversized den with a study, modern kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, three bedrooms, and bath with a claw-foot tub original to the Inn. The lower level contains two full, modernized apartments: one 1-bedroom and one 2-bedroom; both have private outside entrances and are secured from the upper business levels.
