About 1343 COLLINS AVE , MIAMI BEACH, FL 33139

Located at 1343 Collins Avenue in the Miami Beach Art Deco District, the hotel is a block from the beach on Collins Avenue-one of the major retail, restaurant and entertainment venues in South Beach. The iconic Clifton signage recalls classic Art Deco architecture and features a 35-room hotel with ground floor retail space, or the potential for food and beverage in the lobby/outdoor patio. The Clifton was the first LEED Gold certified hotel in Florida in 2011, and features highly efficient systems throughout the property, including rooftop solar panels. Additionally, the property is entitled to add an additional floor of rooms with accompanying rooftop deck. Originally built in 1948, and fully renovated in 2011, the Clifton retained its unique and historic Art Deco façade while transforming the interior with locally made, modern and eco-luxurious style. The Clifton was designed by architect Gerard Pitt in the Post War Modern Revival style of architecture. In Miami Beach, Pitt designed dozens of buildings in the Art Deco and Post-War Modern styles from 1939 to the mid-1960s. He was also one of the most prolific architects in the North Beach area with at least 59 buildings to his credit in the North Shore and Normandy Isles neighborhoods.
