The Fairfield Inn & Suites is an 81-room, three-story, upper-midscale hotel located in Hinesville, Georgia. The subject property is located directly off of Highway 84, with high visibility and easy accessibility; it is strategically positioned just one mile away from Fort Stewart Army Base. The hotel was constructed in 2007 out of wood-frame, with EIFS exterior walls and a composite shingles roof covering. The hotel’s amenities include a free “Hot Breakfast”, exercise room, outdoor pool and spa, and free wired and wireless high-speed Internet access. In 2015 the Fairfield Inn & Suites went through a six-year refresh/renovation in the amount of $617,072, which included the following: all soft goods in the guest rooms (window treatments, bed skirts, carpet, padding, ottomans, sofas, paint, ceiling paint, bathroom paint, artwork); lobby (flooring, carpets, new wall vinyls, furniture, ceiling paint, wall paint, sofa seating, seating, walls, window treatments); meeting room –(carpet, new glass board, window treatments, wall vinyls); corridors (carpet, wall vinyls, wall sconces); back of the house (new GM office furniture, carpet in GM office, wall vinyls, new carpet in stairwells, new paint in laundry room); new patio furniture; new landscaping; and an internet upgrade. The military plays a vital role in the economic health of Hinesville. Fort Stewart Army Base is situated in Hinesville, approximately 40 miles southwest of Savannah, Georgia, and less than one hour from the port of Savannah. It houses the U.S. Army’s Third Infantry Division and is the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River, spanning across 280,000 acres and including parts of six counties. Fort Stewart in combination with Hunter Army Airfield, which is located in Savannah, are the Army’s world-class training and military armored power projection on the eastern seaboard of the United States.
