DESCRIPTION

W. Fayette St. is a 2-lane arterial that runs west to the nearby suburbs of Westvale, Fairmount and Camillus and east through the City of Syracuse where it deadends at Seely Rd. and the border with the Town of Dewitt. Located on the south side of W. Fayette St., due west of center city Syrocuse, NY (Onandaga County) area is also known as the Tipperary Hill neighborhood. The proposed facility should service the unincorporated towns of Geddes, Onondaga, and Solvay, all located within the city limits of the city of Syracuse. Subject site lies due west of a resurging downtown Center City, the main campus of Syracuse University, and the medical campus of three hospitals and the Upstate Medical Center. These happen to be three of the largest employers in Onondaga County. The proposed self storage project is approved for 72,300 sq. ft. gross building area with a 66,000 sq. ft. two-story climate building and three single-story buildings with 6,300 sq. ft. of standard, drive-up access storage. The building facade of the single-story buildings facing Fayette St. are quite unique as they project a “Residential” use of the Premises rather than a self storage facility (see attached Rendering/Elevation).
