History of the Beallsville Garage: The history of the town of Beallsville ranges from the mid-late 1800’s to the early 1900’s; however, construction dates back to the mid-1700’s. The town’s significance is based on its location as a crossroads community that provided dense commercial goods and services for the surrounding area and travelers. The district of Beallsville is known as, “the heart of the agricultural district,” as it lays between Northern Montgomery and Frederick County. The intersection of Beallsville has always been an important commuter route, as the early Barnesville-Poolesville Road now is Maryland Route 109 and Old Baltimore Road is now known as Route 28. Parcel P624 is located on the Southeast quadrant of the main intersection. Sold in 1965, the Beallsville Garage has since been occupied by a Trailer Sales and Service Facility.
