EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Specialist outlet Green Street News has reported that Waverley Gate – a historic A-listed building near Waverley Station – is expected to change hands for around £85 million.
The huge deal would be one of the biggest in Scotland in years.
The building has an A-listed Italian Renaissance facade and is currently being used as an office block, with current tenants including the NHS, Amazon, Microsoft, H&M and the Scottish Government.
The outlet reports that property developer Melford Capital is in talks to purchase Waverley Gate from real estate firm Kennedy Wilson.
When the site was acquired in 2022, it was advertised as having eight floors and 203,400 square feet of office space.
Waverley Gate is right next to Waverley Station and is opposite the St James Quarter shopping centre.
