The Village on Lake Rachard was initially zoned and approved for a 363 homesite community. The project was to be comprised of a mix of cottage homes, garden homes,
and single family homes centered on Lake Rachard. Water and sewer infrastructure was put into place in the community during the development phase.
However, construction was stalled shortly thereafter as the community developer faced bankruptcy. Recently the project has been revitalized and is currently in the approval

totaling 355 residential units.
