Previously owned by an artist who lived there part-time, it is currently owned and inhabited by a design/build firm. This train (train A on the attached diagram) is one of four rail cars sitting on a stretch of track just across the street from OMSI. The neighboring cars are occupied by web designers, architects, and marketing/branding professionals. Rent to be on the tracks is paid to the owner of the rail yard and totals about $1015/quarter. Monthly Expenses: Track rent is $1,015 quarterly. PGE bill runs $50-$75/mo. per train. Wi-Fi is currently $165/mo per train, but we are re-negotiating this lower. Waste management (garbage, recycling, compost) is about $100/mo. There is also the Honey Bucket which is around $50/mo. Currently in year 3 of a 15yr lease with Samuels Rail Lines. Could sublease to the new owners or negotiate separately with Samuels. The train currently has an incinerating toilet in the bathroom. That said, we recently hooked up a water flushing toilet on our other train and there is no reason a similar system couldn't be hooked up on this train. There is a kitchen and a deck off the back. Water is provided by Sierra springs 5 gal 'water cooler' jugs that we hook up to a pump and the sinks. The waste water drains to the tracks. Train is 850 sqft. It is a 1949 Pullman Sleeper car. Used to run from Portland-Tacoma-Seattle. It has a new Mitsubishi heat pump heating and AC system along with electric wall heaters and built in fans. The electrical is all new and modern and in great shape. The heating/cooling systems would need to be separated as they are currently supplied by one exterior heat pump unit. One more exterior unit would be needed. Available immediately.
