The Arts and Crafts building was built as a retreat center by the Society of Sisters of Holy Names of Jesus and Mary from 1923-1924. They christened it "St. Margaret's by the Sea". It passed to the Episcopal Church in 1959 and the lodge was renamed "Scott Hall". Young Life acquired the building in 1969.
