But it's not just weddings that we cater to. Our venue is also perfect for proms and graduations. We have the space and amenities to make any celebration unforgettable. So whether you're a high school senior looking for the ultimate prom experience or a proud parent celebrating your child's graduation, The Perch House And Hall is the place to be. At the very end of a private country road, The Perch awaits your family and friends. Spread across 2 acres, there is enough room to park your crew and their boats. The front yard is fenced in and filled with crepe myrtles of brilliant red and flower beds full of vibrant colors of the season. Walk from your car to the open breezeway and experience a park-like view of Lake Placid that will take your breath away. Down the rolling hill, you will find a well-manicured lawn and boat dock. The large dock has seating for your crew to watch the fantastic and exciting water sports that Lake Placid is known for. Early mornings at The Perch are best experienced here on this high enough to experience the rising sun and watch the many ducks and egret birds skim the water. At the water's edge dangle your feet, cast your pole, and stay awhile. We have tie-offs for your boat and plenty of bench seating at the dock to enjoy Lake Placid ALL DAY! We’ve provided plenty of life jackets in various sizes to keep your little ones safe! The bedroom immediately off the kitchen, “ The White Wing”, has a queen bed, large armoire, and flat-screen TV and DVD player. The bathroom has tons of storage as well. Through the “ White Wing” is the bunk room we lovingly refer to as “ The Nest”. You will find 4 custom-made bunk beds with “oars” as cute!! Each bunk has its own light and outlet for recharging those it's likely they will forget all about them after a day at The Perch! There is also a twin trundle bed with the comfiest mattresses EVER! “ The Nest” has a large built-in storage system for suitcases, and games, and is a great place for hiding and seek! Head upstairs too, “ The Master”. My goodness, it will be hard to pick which room is your favorite! With painted pine wood floors and soft gray and coral bedding, this room says exhale!! The king bed and the large dresser are perfect for the master suite. Tucked in the closet are 2 comfy cots for any additional sleepers. The Perch has incredible views of Lake Placid and the manicured park-like lawns. The Pecan Trees and Cypress trees still tower over you as you sip your coffee on the private balcony. Open the French doors wide to experience the outdoors without having to roll your relaxed self out of bed! Open the door and walk down the hombre blue (that's a fancy way of saying really cool) basement steps. You will be greeted with red leather couches, a gigantic flat-screen TV, and a sound system. The Fish Camp has its own fridge, microwave, and full bathroom. Behind the sliding barn doors, you will find 2 queen beds, a flat-screen TV with a DVD player, a dresser, and a large closet. There are also 2 mattresses and twin cots to add additional sleepers. The large sectional couch and ottoman make a full bed as well. This by far has been the most complimented and praised area of the house! We can’t wait for you to experience it as well. Just because the sun goes down does not mean your day has to end. The well-lit deck off the main house, the lit dock, and deck at the lake, Firepit down by the Lake with 6 Adirondack Chairs to enjoy the water.
