Jamestown is a city and the county seat of Stutsman County, North Dakota, and located at the intersection of Interstate 94 and U.S. Route 281, midway between Bismarck and Fargo. Along with strong manufacturing and recreational activities, Jamestown features a private liberal arts college (University of Jamestown) founded by the Presbyterian Church. University of Jamestown was ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the top tier of regional undergraduate institutions and is notable among religious colleges for having been a co-educational institution from its founding in 1883. In 2014, Business Insider reported that the University of Jamestown is the most influential college in North Dakota.
