One of Cleveland’s top employers, Progressive Insurance, is headquartered just south in Mayfield Village. Progressive is one of the nation’s largest providers of car insurance and employs over 10,000 in Northeast Ohio.

Many other important employers are located a short distance away, including the main campuses of University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic, 15 miles southwest. Top colleges and universities provide a large pool of highly educated talent, among them Case Western Reserve University, Notre Dame College, and John Carroll University.

The area is populated by higher-density, middle-income neighborhoods to the west and along Lake Erie, and lower-density, higher-income neighborhoods to the east. Residents and employees are provided a wealth of opportunities for recreation, including countless beaches along Cleveland’s Great Lake. Euclid Beach Park features a 650-foot beach and new, 150-foot observation pier. North Chagrin Reservation draws visitors from across the metro area, with attractions including Squire’s Castle, A.B. Williams Memorial Woods, Buttermilk Falls, and North Chagrin Nature Center.

Northeast Cleveland is one of the area’s largest office nodes, with 9.5 million square feet of space. Steady demand has resulted in a limited inventory of available space, with a vacancy rate well below the market average. Investors have increasingly taken note of the area’s many attributes and solid fundamentals, driving a consistent level of sales, ranking among Cleveland’s most active transaction markets.
