Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde is a 77-site RV resort located in Mancos, Colorado between Cortez and Durango along US Route 160. Open from March through October, campers reserve spaces for nightly or weekly stays or with group reservations called rallies. The upgraded park gives campers a variety of choices to vacation including full hook-up pull-through sites, cabins, tent sites and group tent sites. All the full hook-up and water/electric sites have 30 and 50 amp on the pedestal. With 47 total RV sites at the park, 34 are full hook-up with 32 of the 34 being pull-through. The remaining 13 RV sites are water/electric and 11 of those 13 are pull-through sites. The park offers large 70 foot sites that can accommodate any size RV. Furthermore, there are site expansion opportunities at the current grounds. The four cabins on the property measure approximately 10 by 12 and can comfortably sleep four to five people a piece. Each cabin is furnished with one queen bed, bunk beds, an LG air conditioner, an electric heater and a new television. Every cabin has a welcome bench on the covered deck outside as well as a charcoal grill. In addition, the park offers 24 tent sites. Five of those tent sites are water/electric only and the remaining 19 are dry camping. There are two group tent sites as well. One of the group tent sites has water/electric. Campers can enjoy fire rings, grills and picnic tables on the grounds. While staying at Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde guests have access to Wi-Fi, antenna television, a 24-hour laundry facility, and two playgrounds. The antenna television receives 80-100 channels of Denver, Durango, Salt Lake City and Albuquerque local channels. The Rec Hall is a fun hang-out for visitors where they can enjoy a coin-operated pool table, foosball table and Pacman video game. The Rec Hall also offers two couches, a 50-inch television, a microwave and pizza cooker. Other amenities include a heated pool, two hot tubs, fenced in dog park, mini-golf course, store with gifts and groceries, propane, firewood, and 24-hour restrooms. In addition to the Rec Hall, the Memorial Barn is another place for group gatherings. Throughout the grounds are 78 picnic tables, 40 fire pits, two propane grills, and six cast iron fire rings. Ancient Cedars at Mesa Verde RV Resort is located directly off US Route 160. This thoroughfare provides easy access to Cortez in the west and Durango up to Pagosa Springs and the Continental Divide at Wolf Creek Pass to the east. US Route 160 is the primary route to get to the Four Corners Monument that saw around 327,000 total visitors in 2016. Moreover, the park is perfectly located for travelers visiting the Mesa Verde National Park, which according to TripAdvisor is among the top 10 most popular national parks in the US. Directly across the street from Ancient Cedars is the Mesa Verde Visitor Center.
