Starting with a 5000 sf old diesel repair garage, sitting idle for over ten years, Tres Birds Workshop dramatically altered the heating and cooling capabilities of the building by inventing and installing a thermal exterior wall system, made from 21,000 recycled PET plastic water bottles. A 2100 sf mezzanine was added to the space made entirely of reclaimed pallet rack uprights and maple railroad boxcar floor boards. Reclaimed hockey glass from nearby professional sports arena, The Pepsi Center, was used for construction of sliding office walls. All materials used were implemented first for their inherent structural qualities, aesthetics being complimentary.
