Empire Outlets LOCATION / Staten Island, NY PHASE / Under Development SIZE / 1,100,000 sf Empire Outlets is a new shopping, hotel, and entertainment destination in Staten Island. The projects design references an Italian hill town, affording visitors magnificent views through expansive open corridors to the water. The design uses contemporary materials reflective of the industrial waterfront, and a sweeping sustainable green roof visible from the Harbor. Vertical circulation elements such as grand stairs, glass elevators, and streamlined escalators will guide visitors as they move from the waterfront up through the building, creating a dynamic and easily navigated pedestrian experience. Parking will be tucked below the project, invisible to the passerby. The project has been carefully designed to relate to its context, inviting pedestrians across Richmond Terrace, from the new stadium, from the waterfront, and from a new plaza directly from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
