Built in 1962, Columbus Apartel, formerly Sandstone Manor Apartments, in Columbus, Ohio, is a multifamily apartment complex with an independent rental office building located in the northern part of the Columbus Metropolis. All five buildings were of concrete foundation and red bricks with pitched shingle roofs. Each building is identical to others in floor-plans, ingress and egress, amenities, fire alarm system, settings, and FF&E., in its 17 one-bedroom units and 1 studio unit on two sides of the interior corridor.
In 2010, the current ownership acquired the complex in the name of Sandstone Manor Apartments, and started massive renovation immediately in almost every aspect, plumbing, electrical, interior, exterior, parking lot, security system, alarm system... ... to name a few. In 2013, the complex changed its name to Columbus Apartel to operate as fully-furnished apartments with flexible leasing terms, from month-to-month to 12-month.
The detailed and exquisite remodeling work has made ALL* units so attractive and resident-friendly that most of the time of the year, the OCCUPANCY RATE maintains to be 100%. Due to the absentee ownership, these properties has been under the same on-site management in contractor form for the past decade.
To bring in more professionals and career tenants, the management developed a dedicated website which allows online
application, payments, maintenance service request and communication with management as well as the channel to file complaint directly to the representatives of the owners out of Ohio.
Due to the way it was built from the beginning, Columbus Apartel is not ADA-compliant, and owners and the management have made it known to public.
