390 Exchange Place is considered to be one of Ogden City's premier Industrial site(s). Previously known as the Ogden Stockyards, it originally served one of the nations main meat packing plants, Swift & Company. Through the use of their own railcar system the advantageous railway access benefited them greatly, leading to decades of production. The historic "Swift Building" which sat on the banks of the Ogden River, operated from 1917 until ceasing operations and was acquired by Smith & Edwards in the early 1960's to store surplus military items. Through a planned remediating process, in spring of 2021 390 Exchange Place will become home to a 113,400 square foot Industrial/Flex Building with many prominent features, some of which include excellent exposure from 24th Street's viaduct, convenient truck accessibility to and from Interstate 15, rail-serve potential, and panoramic views of the Wasatch Front. Nearby amenities include the Ogden River Parkway Trail, Ogden Kayak Park, Ogden Business Exchange, Downtown Historic 25th Street and many more.
