Miracle Mile is an upscale retail district that lies in the heart of Coral Gables. The city offers extensive low-rise retail that is nestled in palm trees, providing a genuinely tropical allure. Drew Schaul, Executive Vice President
Drew Schaul is a Executive Vice President of Advisory and Transaction Services, specializing in retail representation of landlords and tenants, as well as off-market asset sales. Schaul has more than 20 years of experience and has completed numerous transactions in South Florida and throughout the country, with special concentration in national high-profile street retail, lifestyle centers and enclosed shopping destinations.

Prior to returning to CBRE in 2018, Schaul was an Executive Vice President with RKF, where he established and led the firm’s Miami operations. His landlord agency experience includes notable assignments, such as Esplanade at Aventura and The Collection at Boca Town Center, on behalf of Seritage Growth Properties, as well as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at its Hollywood and Tampa locations, on behalf of Hard Rock International and The Cordish Companies. Other notable Landlord clients include Berkowitz Development Group, Rockpoint Group, Brookfield Properties, CMC Group, Vornado, RFR and L3 Capital. As a trusted retail tenant advisor on a national scale (46 states), Schaul has successfully negotiated transactions on behalf of prominent retailers and restaurants including, H&M, Brooks Brothers, Allen Edmonds, Steve Madden, Psycho Bunny, John Varvatos, DJI, Shinola, Oliver Peoples, Garmin, Peter Lik, Kiehl’s, Xfinity, CorePower Yoga, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, BoConcept, ECI (The Cordish Companies), Freehold Miami, Panda Express, Raw Juce, Xfinity, GNC, Regis Corp. and Burlington among others.

Schaul’s work also extends to investment sales; he guided a team that successfully completed more than $430 million in investment sales transactions in 2015 and 2016, primarily in the emerging retail submarkets of Wynwood and Design District, on behalf of Redsky Capital, L3 Capital, Tristar Capital and RFR. He was also involved in the two largest retail investment transactions in the history of South Beach at the time–the $132 million sale of 1100 Lincoln Road (127,000 sq. ft.) to Vornado Realty Trust and the $139 million sale of TriStar Capital’s 53,000-sq.-ft. retail portfolio on Lincoln Road, to Acadia Realty Trust.

He is member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and actively involved with Kristi House Charities
Alex Cesar, First Vice President
Alex Cesar joined CBRE as Vice President and is based in the Miami office, working with clients on a national basis, specializing in tenant representation, agency leasing and investment sales.

Some of his most recently completed assignments were assisting retailers to roll-out expansions across Latin America and the US. In that capacity, Lush Cosmetics, Levi’s, Vapiano and KFC to grow their presence in Brazil. He also helped international clients to plan and execute expansions to the US, including Sundek, Osklen, Cia Maritima, Jack Vartanian, Ornare, Pompeu Bellusci, Guerreiro and Porcáo Steakhouse.

Some of Alex’s most significant transactions include the 12,000 SF lease for Porcáo Steakhouse on 360 Park Avenue South in Manhattan, the 3,500 SF lease for Osken on 1111 Lincoln Road in Miami, the 4,000-SF for Oakley on Ipanema Beach in Rio (2016 Olympics Safe House), the 30,000-SF lease with Hortifruti Grocery on Itaim in Sáo Paulo (Flagship Store), and the 9,000 SF lease for Vapiano on Itaim in Sáo Paulo. In addition to his work for retailers, Alex has assisted several landlords during his career, such as BR Malls, Iguatemi, Multiplan, GGP Westfield, Alexico Group and UIA Management LLC.

Originally from Brazil, Alex has lived half of his adult life in the US, for most part in New York City, which he considers to be his second home. Now, based in South Florida for the past few years, Alex is becoming a local expert and is assisting clients such as Comcast Xfinity with their roll-out expansion throughout Florida.
Jordan Landman, Associate
Jordan Landman is a member of CBRE Advisory & Transaction Services based in Miami. He works alongside industry veteran Drew Schaul and his team who specialize in representing the needs of retail clients throughout the country with a focus on South Florida. The CBRE Retail team based in Miami also represents and assist landlords with leasing and marketing their retail spaces.

Currently the team is marketing the largest new development in South Florida called Live! Resort Pompano Beach, which is being developed by Caesars Entertainment and The Cordish Companies. When complete, Live! Resort Pompano Beach will total over 1.3 million square feet of retail and entertainment.

Prior to joining CBRE, he worked for Brandywine Agency, Inc. alongside the director of commercial real estate in leasing and management of over two million square feet of retail and office space. Jordan was also responsible for finding value-add and ground-up development sites for retail, office, industrial and multifamily properties.
