Mitchell, SD, is less than one hour west of Sioux Falls, SD, and is strategically located between major Midwest population centers (Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, etc.) and popular RV destinations such as the Black Hills, Yellowstone, and other national parks. With a population of more than 15,000, Mitchell boasts many local attractions of its own, including the World’s Only Corn Palace and Cabela’s retail center.
