The county planning department has approved site plan to construct an 18-hole miniature golf course, mid-century modern ticket office and ice cream stand with 2 public restrooms and large patio. The owner has spent 2 years and about $150,000 on architectural plans, civil engineering, general engineering, biological study, cultural study, traffic study, planning and building department fees, site grading, etc. The county approved the site plan in July 2023 and the project is now ready to be built. The owner prefers to joint venture, but is also willing to sell the project. Borrego Springs is a popular tourist area in eastern San Diego County.
