Property Facts
Description
MINE PRODUCTS The Rio del Monte Mine offers potentially lucrative opportunities from several sources. It is relatively close to major markets for aggregate rock (fractured structural and decorative) and has significant gold and silver values. Unlike most mines which deal with processing, moving, and storing waste rock, the Rio del Monte has a strong market for most everything it produces. In short, the Rio del Monte Mine is a completely legal, turn-key operation with great rock reserve and mineral potential. As a source of fractured aggregate for soil stabilization and road construction, the scope of the reserves on this property is very large. The Owner states that a reasonable estimate of 150 million minable tons are extractable down to the depth of 200 ft. on the entire 400 acres* under conditions consistent with permits. The Owner estimates the 567,000 tons of unconsolidated rock/acre could be produced if mined to the permitted depth of 200 ft. At a minimal value of $1.00/ton on a royalty basis, a highly conservative estimate of value associated with the production of aggregate on this one parcel alone suggests this mine offers an extremely attractive long-term commercial investment with an outstanding return. Additionally, higher value decorative rock of several types, colors and configurations have been identified in the reserve – potentially a new source for a decorative rock that would command prices at the wholesale level higher than more common varieties. MINERAL RESERVES Twenty (20) patented claims cover the 400 acre property which is surrounded by BLM land. Results from two mineral surveys and historical data indicated gold values up to 0.57 oz. /ton and silver up to 1.6 oz. /ton. The majority of 200 assayed samples show gold values. The conclusions of the most recent survey in 1982 (available upon request) suggested the probability of high grade lenticular ore shoots in several areas of the property. Copper mineralization in portions of the quartz veins is common. Immediately adjacent to the mine to the South, exists a large area with striking color anomalies in the rock. To the East of the mine. Large areas of sea floor limestone adjoin up trusts of limestone on the mine. The ability to keep milling and storage areas on the private property to avoid costly BLM regulations for such facilities makes the mining of easily available BLM rock and minerals much more cost effective than they might ordinarily be and might result in a virtually unlimited amount of inexpensive resource for the owner of the mine. The construction of a 4,000 ft. + airstrip could easily be incorporated into the mining plans. OTHER POTENTIAL USES The property is zoned by the county as RA-40, but has a state mining permits that allow various industrial uses potentially including cement, asphalt, mineral and heavy metal recovery plants, and inert materials landfill.
