The former Ormet Aluminum Smelter was commissioned in 1958. The Hannibal, Ohio facility is located on approximately 1,600 acres with terminal facilities along the Ohio River. Formerly an aluminum smelting plant, it is located just off State Route 7 and is equipped with private rail service, full electric and natural gas service, a water treatment plant, as well as two harbors with cranes and conveyor systems.
