Motel - 3 wings originally built in 1955 (masonry) added on in 1986 and 2004 (wood frame). 3 separate types of building and price points from economy (standard rooms) to midscale (deluxe rooms) to upscale (premium rooms). All but 3 rooms (deluxe double queens) are ground level. Motel has been American owned and operated since 2007 with special attention to details and ongoing improvements. Motel was originally built as a "fishing lodge" with garages and connecting doors to rooms which included kitchens at one time. Kitchens are now converted to a second bedroom and garages eliminated except one (used for storage). Motel has a strong reputation of cleanliness, comfort and friendliness with a high return customer base. Motel is historically known as "Beaver State Lodge" and remains the oldest active motel in Brookings/Harbor as well as celebrates the newest built rooms in Brookings (2004).
