The State of California Department of General Services is soliciting bids for the sale of the following property. There will be sealed bid packet available at date to be determined including the City of Paso Robles vision for a 1,500,000 sf± master planned business and industrial park. The property is located on the west side of Airport Road just north of Dry Creek Road within the City of Paso Robles. The property is identified as the State of California El Paso De Robles Youth Correctional Facility, Department of Youth Authority with an address of 4545 Airport Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446. The assessor parcel number is 025-434-001 and is 160 acres. The facility has been closed as of July 31, 2008. The property that will be offered consists of one parcel, with total of approximately 140± acres and approximately 42± structures with a total of 336,738 sq. ft.± built in the 1950s. The City of Paso Robles Planning Department and Municipal Code indicates the subject property is zoned Public Facility (PF) zone and within the Paso Robles Municipal Airport Land Use Plan area. The state will retain 20± acres located in the north east corner of the parcel. Water, sewer and power are available to the site. The water is from 3 wells of which are active, one will be retained by State of California Cal Fire for their property to the north and the largest serves the facility. The 3rd well is a back-up well. However, according to the City Manager, with change in ownership, the wells will be capped and the buyer which will have to connect to the City of Paso Robles water main. The facility is connected to the City of Paso Robles sewer system. The electrical service is provided by Pacific Gas and Electric.
