Welcome to Casa de Montgomery, the mansion originally built in 1932 for T.S. Montgomery. This property has the support of the County of Santa Cruz to become a 100+ bed assisted living facility with memory care. In 2013, Jerry Yates, the architect of 1440 Multiversity, submitted an application for entitlements for a 100+ bed assisted living facility, and his submission included a full entitlement package including architectural, civil and landscape. The civil included a septic design and a water design. The County came back with the first set of comments that were very straightforward. Unfortunately the project stalled at that point due to issues with the ownership. The County is so supportive of this project that they have held open this application, and it is open today. The Project Planner, Planning Director and Economic Development Department are all raving fans of this project. Additionally the neighbors and the fire department also support this project. According to Jerry Yates, there was more support for this project than on any project he has ever been involved with. All that is needed is a buyer to continue this development, and Jerry Yates is looking forward to working with the buyer.
