McCali Manor is rich in history. The first portion of the building was built in the late 1700s to early 1800s as a tavern that sat on what was and still is the town square. Notable history includes the fact that the building sits on what was the original Wild West crossroad. Were the Whites to build beyond that crossroad, the Indians would fight Whites tooth and nail. In 1910 the building was doubled in size to become Dr Horner’s office and 3 story home. In 1951 it was donated to the Elks Club.
