The main east/west line of the BNSF Railway runs along the south wall and extends approximately 550 feet, connecting the west coast to Chicago, Kansas City, and other eastern locations. Since 1989, Kingman Airport Industrial Park (KAIP) and the Kingman Airport have seen over $100-million in property improvements, and the Airport Authority has made over $15-million in public and infrastructure improvements, with more planned. The Kingman Airport offers commercial airline services and serves the general aviation needs of users with its two runways. The city of Kingman provides some of the lowest transportation costs in the country as a result of the substantial flow of trucks from the port facilities of LA/Long Beach to the east, and back along the I-40 corridor, five miles south of KAIP. US 93, only a 10-minute drive south, is the major commercial corridor between the states of Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. It is also on the North American Free Trade (NAFTA) route between Mexico and Canada. With the completion of a new bypass, known as the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, Kingman now has a direct route to the enormous consumer market in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
