About the Property
Portishead is the second largest town in North Somerset, popular with commuters working in Bristol. It is situated on the shore of the Severn estuary, about 12 miles west of Bristol city centre and 3 miles south of junction 19 of the M5 motorway. Clevedon and Weston Super Mare are 6 miles and 14 miles south west respectively. At the 2021 census the resident population of Portishead was 26,366. Plans are currently underway for a mainline railway station linking Portishead to Bristol. The town’s central retail area is principally focused on the subject High Street. In addition there are two small retail parks, known as Wyndham Way and Portishead Retail Parks, and an Aldi supermarket on the edge of the town. The property is situated on the western side of High Street, towards it northern end. This section of High Street is generally acknowledged to be the best, or prime, trading location. The adjacent shops are Bryants Jewellers and Flagship Boutique, whilst other occupiers close by include Costa Coffee, Lloyds and Nat West banks, Poundland and Coffee #1.
