Rusty McCabe, Vice President
Rusty McCabe joined Avison Young as a result of the November 2013 acquisition of McShea & Company, Inc. He specializes in the representation of office, flex, and industrial Landlords and Tenants along the I-270 corridor in both leasing and sales transactions. Rusty has represented a variety of Landlords and Tenants over the years including The Plamondon Companies, USDA, The Artery Group, The Wormald Companies, Greenbaum & Rose, Abrams Development, Frederick Memorial Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Pharmacopeia, Natelli Communities, Guardian Real Estate, Martens Properties, Charles H. Jameson, Ausherman Development, and Federal Realty Investment Trust to name a few.  Mr. McCabe earned a Top 20 Power Broker Award from CoStar Group, Inc. and has been recognized by the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors numerous times with the Million Dollar Leasing Award. Prior to working with McShea & Company, Inc., Mr. McCabe spent two years with Donohoe Commercial Real Estate and eight years with Morgan Home Funding’s mortgage division. With experience in all facets of real estate including ground leases, build-to-suites, sale, and leasing, Mr. McCabe brings a broad understanding of the commercial real estate industry. Rusty has been a Montgomery County resident since 1964 and received his undergraduate degree from The University of Maryland and graduated from Georgetown Prep in Rockville in 1978.

Robert is one of the Washington area’s most experienced and productive leasing agents. He has exclusively represented major national and international corporations such as Hughes Network Systems, Direct TV, Bechtel Power Corporation and Digex, Inc.
