Tipton Municipal Utilities has 50 MW of capacity. Natural Gas Capacity (Vectren) 6” Main gas line feeds the plant with capacity of 18,057 CFH. City Water Capacity (Tipton Municipal Utilities) 12” water main coming into the plant and feeding a 4-inch water meter inside the plant. TMU currently has 750,0000 gallons of domestic water capacity from the adjacent Water Plant. Fire Protection Water Capacity (Tipton Municipal Utilities) 12” Main city water line feeds the plant and splits to a 10” line for plant fire protection water with capacity of 24,106 GPM at 80 PSI. Sanitary Sewage Capacity (Tipton Municipal Utilities) TMU currently has 50,000 gallons of domestic Wastewater capacity in the adjacent Sewer Plant. The new force main scheduled for completion in Spring 2025 will flow directly into the TMU sewer plant in Tipton which will increase capacity to 250,000 gallons±.
