Designed by prominent Denver Architects, Fisher & Fisher, and built in 1911, the Hugus building has been at the historic center of Meeker, Colorado for over 100 years. Many original fixtures and finishes have been carefully restored and refurbished by the current owners since they took ownership in 1996. The owners have rebuilt the loading dock, installed an elevator and new main staircase, upgraded the boiler, electrical, and lighting fixtures throughout the building. Over a dozen major improvement projects have been accomplished over the last two decades. Interior walls have been added to create additional upper-level office spaces, complete with matching trim, doors, and glass. No detail was overlooked, and the work was completed by expert local and regional craftspeople. The Hugus Building is listed on the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties.
