Former location of Interactive Achievement and Power School. Built in 1937 as the Whaley Bros. Motorcycle Co. and eventually became Butterfield's Harley-Davidson in 1957. The current conference room was the original garage (garage door not functional today, just for looks). The main floor room under the mezzanine was the original show room for the motorcycles, and the upper mezzanine was home to the sales and support staff. The rear space on the main floor, which now houses multiple offices that have been build out, was the original mechanics shop. You can plainly see the grease stains and imperfections in the original concrete floors. The raised/platform office in the rear space has wood tounge and groove floors that incorporates "Harley-Davidson, Roanoke, VA" stamps in the floor boards. These boards came from shipping crates which were found in the attic storage when Interactive Achievement purchased the building in 2009. The shipping crates were used to ship motorcycles and presented a unique opportunity to incorporate the history of the crates, and the building, into the wood floors of the platform office. A full rehab with all new and updated plumbing, HVAC, roof, electrical, data/Cat-5 was completed for the main floor and mezzanine levels in 2009.
