Whidbey Island is located North of Seattle; South Whidbey Island is accessed by the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry which is a 20-minute ride across the Puget Sound. From the Clinton ferry dock travelers take Washington State Highway (SR-525) up the hill and into Clinton where you will find the DQ Grill & Chill located at the corner of SR-525 and Storkson Drive. The 3-minute drive from the ferry makes this location perfect for those going to or coming from the ferry. The Clinton-Mukilteo ferry system has two boats one holding 124 cars and the other 144 cars and run every 30 minutes from 4:40 am to 1:00 am. Nearly all of the cars from the ferry pass the Clinton DQ. The 2018 Washington State Ferries rider statistics for the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry lists 2,290,462 vehicle & driver trips, 1,491,443 additional passengers per vehicle and walk-on passengers from Mukilteo of 392,358 (it is free to walk-on the ferry from Clinton).
